" We are delighted with our warm, comfortable and well-equipped cottage. A wonderful place from which to explore the Scottish Highlands. We will definitely be back. "

We have three pretty, warm and spacious cottages with all mod cons ~ nestling around a sunny courtyard in our pretty gardens.  Each has its own patio where you can sit out and enjoy the fresh highland air.

We are surrounded by peaceful, rich and gently rolling countryside within minutes of all amenities ~ including Inverness.

The Thompsons live on site also and there is plenty of parking for all.

Dolphin, bird and whale boat trips, bird and nature watching in both Cromarty and Moray Firths (both are SSSI's).  There are several local dolphin and wildlife boat companies who can take you out on the water.

Try Ecoventures in Cromarty for an exciting all round trip. Check out Hugh Miller's Cottage (National Trust) and the super Cromarty Courthouse museum with interactive trial and history of Cromarty before and through the wars.  Linger in this fascinating and historic village.

On and around the Black Isle we regularly see Dolphins, red Kite, osprey, red squirrel, roe deer, otters, foxes, pine martens, woodpeckers and much, much more which you will see as you drive or walk around.

Take a trip along Loch Ness with Jacobite Cruises or hire your own boat with Caley Cruisers.  Visit Urquhart Castle and look for our monster.

Try a couple of the 30 golf courses ~ including Royal Dornoch and Nairn Championship and the local and friendly Fortrose and Rosemarkie.

Try Walking ~ all levels, Some starting from your door.  Ben Wyvis is a Munro and is 20 minute's drive away.

Cycling ~ there is both road and off-road cycling and quad biking.  There is a specialist off-road track 15 minutes away.  Cycling is very popular on the Black Isle and there are two riding stables.

Aviemore is 45 minutes south for skiers and snowboarders along with the interesting activity centre, Landmark, in Carrbridge and the Wildlife Park.

There is quality local shopping, plus Eden Court Theatre, and many restaurants and cinemas in Inverness.

There are also excellent and friendly restaurants, shops, museums and cafes in the local vicinity  including a world-class jewellery designer and Belgian Chocolatier in Fortrose and Comfort Foods in Rosemarkie which specialises in top-quality local fare.

Have a day in Skye and the West coast (2hrs easy drive west) , Spey Valley(1 hr drive south), north to John O'Groats, Castle of Mey, Dunrobin Castle, Thurso and Wick (2 hour's drive).  Ullapool has boat trips to the Summer Isles and Skye has many boat trips also.
